Two way bearer pallets can be entered by forklift trucks either from their front or rear. They break down into three basic elements: the deck boards, the bearers at each side and the bottom base boards.
Usually, two way pallets are more economical to manufacture and often provide greater strength and durability than the common four way block pallet.
Their key limitation is related to the lack of flexibility with regards to pallet entry, making full space utilization more of a challenge when loading freight vehicles or in warehouses or other distribution facilities.
The key advantage of using two way bearer pallets is their direct strength & durability, which may be beneficial enough to compromise the utilization; allowing for only two way entry as opposed to four way.
